Some free time

I got a few hours of free time away from my homework. Hurray!!! Here is what I created.
I had an acrylic piece and decided to dress it up. I also got my monthly kit from scrapbook cirle and decided to use some of the paper for another project. I got the count down tree as an extra for the month.

Time sure flies!!

I went to Lake Tahoe in October for a weekend, to spend time with my dad at the timeshare. So I told the family on a hike to Eagle Falls. Not many people know what is around Lake Tahoe, so many things to see. I took tons of picks. My dad decided the hike was tiring and decided to sit and relax. As he stated his kind of excerise. So I used that in the title. I didn't journal which I think I will go back and do. We decide to also go to Virgina City, where my grandfather was raised. It snowed while we were there. The twins were excited and I was happy we brought jackets for them. We walked thru some of the shops but I didn't get to go to the school and opera house.

November went pretty fast this year. Had a nice quiet Thanksgiving dinner with the kids. I just started school this last monday. It took a few days to get used too doing homework and going back to school. Took a few days to get my schedule down. I did some layouts but didn't post them yet. So here I go. Let's hope December goes by slow. So happy I got my shopping done.

wow time flies

I didn't realize that I have been gone for so long. I've been busy making projects that I forget to post them all. So here I go.... fisrt on the list is a prima flower container that I altered, and I saw a matchbox and decided to try it. I made two but haven't taken a pic of the second one.

Cards

Ok, so my monthly kit club had a challenge with a sketch of a card. I did two just in case, so my fingers are crossed that I win the prize. I was so happy that someone gave me something to go by. I don't know what makes sign up for card swaps but I do. I see so many nice cards and mine are ok. I figure maybe down the line I will get better.

Holiday Swap

I finally got all my holiday swaps done. Working on making cards, just 4 more to go and another swap down. I couldn't help myself and am hosting another ATC swap. At least its not due until Dec.4th, so I have plenty of time to get some xmas atc done. Got some images ready to go.

Getting stuff done

So I finally got my holiday swap done. Worked last night on some halloween tags for another. Was disappointed in my local scrapbook store, they didn't have a good selection of halloween paper. I actually found some cute paper at Michaels. I am getting a halloween kit from scarletlime and can't wait to get started on the project. I got another swap to finish of 10 cards. Should be easy once I get started. I have a xmas exchange swap but those are pretty easy and I just have to go shopping and make one card. I hope to have this all done soon, so I can open up another "anything goes" ATC swap. I got a good response and hoping for a smaller group next time. I got 29 ladies signed up and "happy mail" coming in. The swap closes on the 25th so I plan on getting it done ASAP, so my birthday on the 29th is clear. So much scrappin so little time.

chunky boards

I tried my hand at chunky boards for a holiday swap I'm hosting. I got some cool stuff from
to use on my art journal and scrapbook stuff. I think they really turned out nice. I love vintage and lace.

My work

I love scrapbooking, altering stuff and just messing around with new mediums. I find that I have grown over time. So I thought I would share some pics of some of my past creations. I currently swap on an ATC and mail art site, and I host swaps on a scrapbook site. I enjoy putting together ATC's and small albums. I generally don't do too many layouts but I need to start pushing myself to do so. I love meeting new friends and getting ideas from them. I never copy someone work to a tee, just add my own thing to a design or idea that someone might have.

Hello

So I'm finally getting the hang of decorating my space. I been busy working on an art journal and plan on having it done by the end of October. I will post some pics of it when I'm done. I have just completed some vintage ATC's.
